About

Jon Hewitt is a painter based in Melbourne. Having studied art a long time ago, he's only recently returned to painting following a serious illness. He's exhibited widely across Melbourne and a bit overseas.

In 2026 he will undertake a residency at Similkameen Artist Residency in Canada.

When he's not painting, he's writing a book about living with chronic fatigue, walking the dog, watching sport or the news, listening to podcasts about sport and politics, and reading books about politics, sport and fantasy worlds. He's an ok cook, bald, and the son of a preacher man.
